Bursary Opportunities
30 bursaries will be offered to selected delegates:
All presenters of accepted abstracts are required to register and attend the conference. Bursaries are available to support eligible participants—please indicate your interest in the bursary application during registration.
Conditions for Receiving a Bursary
To qualify for a bursary to attend the African Education Indaba 2025, applicants must meet the following conditions:
Applicants must have submitted a high-quality abstract aligned with the Indaba’s thematic focus areas. Bursaries are awarded to individuals whose abstracts demonstrate strong relevance, clarity, and potential impact on education in Africa.
Priority will be given to applicants actively involved in the education sector, including educators, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders, especially those with a record of engagement in evidence-based practices or educational innovation.
Recipients must confirm their attendance and participate in all scheduled conference sessions and activities. Bursaries may be revoked if recipients do not fulfill their participation commitments.
4. Financial Need
Applicants must demonstrate financial need or lack of institutional support to attend the Indaba. This can be shown through a brief statement in the application form.
5. Contribution to Conference Outcomes
Bursary recipients are expected to actively engage in discussions, share their expertise, and contribute to the Indaba’s objectives. Following the event, recipients may be asked to provide a brief report or testimonial on their experience and the potential impact of the Indaba on their work.
6. Registration Requirement
Bursary recipients are required to complete their registration for the Indaba by the specified deadline. Failure to register in time may result in the forfeiture of the bursary.
7. Follow-Up Commitment
Recipients may be invited to participate in post-Indaba activities, such as surveys, webinars, or follow-up discussions, to evaluate the event’s impact and strengthen ongoing engagement.
